What CF3 sends
There are three kinds of email from CF3:
- Transactional — receipts, RSVP confirmations, password resets. Always sent. Can't be disabled.
- Direct — a real person at the federation contacting you about a role, an application, or a specific event you signed up for. Always sent.
- Bulk announcements — newsletters, calls for volunteers, federation-wide updates. Opt-in.
Managing opt-in
Open the Membership & Coms page at Preferences and toggle Email Communications, then click Save Preferences. When this is off, you stop receiving bulk announcements but still get transactional and direct emails.
You can also use the unsubscribe link at the bottom of any bulk email — it does the same thing.
I'm not getting emails
Check three things, in order:
- Is the email on your CF3 account the same one you actually read? If you signed up with a forgotten address, update it on your profile.
- Search your spam / promotions folder. Add
noreply@thesport.fit(and the reply-to address,info@functionalfitnessfederation.ca) to your contacts. - Email Communications is toggled on at Preferences — only matters for bulk announcements.
If transactional emails (a receipt, a password reset) are missing entirely, email help@thesport.fit — there may be a delivery block on our side.
French
CF3 publishes news and announcements in both English and French. When a story is bilingual, the French version appears inline below the English on the article page. Direct staff replies usually come in the language you wrote in.
