Get Involved · Canadian Functional Fitness
Your Sport.
Built by People Like You.
CF3 is the non-profit national governing body for functional fitness in Canada — run entirely by the athletes, coaches, judges, and gym owners who love this sport. Every membership, every volunteer hour, every event builds it. Here's where you come in.
Why We Exist
“CrossFit is a company.
Functional fitness is the sport.”
Hockey has Hockey Canada. Soccer has Canada Soccer. A sport needs a governing body — so it can be taught in schools, coached by certified coaches, judged by trained officials, and grown for everyone, not owned by anyone.
That's CF3: the non-profit federation growing functional fitness into a recognized sport in every province, with a real pathway from your local gym to Team Canada. No owners, no shareholders — every dollar reinvested in the sport.
Pick Your Pathway
Six Ways In.
CF3 is non-profit and member-funded, and we publish our National Championships financials in full — down to the line item. See where the money goes.
Compete as an Athlete
The membership behind every Canadian on the national pathway. It is required to compete at National Championship qualifiers, the Nationals and iF3 World events, it keeps your CF3 profile active, and it funds the sport. Earn your place on the Nationals leaderboards and the iF3 world ranking.

Volunteer at an Event
Competitions run on volunteers — scorekeeping, equipment, athlete control, media. No experience needed, and every event you work counts on the TOs & Volunteers leaderboard.
Become a Technical Official
Train as a judge and officiate sanctioned events. Level 1 is free and online; Level 2 is earned on the floor; Level 3 is a reviewed assessment at a national event ($25).
Join a Committee
CF3 is volunteer-run. Committees drive the Nationals, the officials program, domestic development and governance. Seats are held by active members, but anyone can apply.
Host a Sanctioned Event
Run your own competition under the CF3 banner — a national listing, technical-official support, and results that count toward National Championship qualification.
