Finding events
Two places to look:
- Competitions — upcoming events. The Sanctioned tab shows events CF3 has licensed; CF3 Qualifiers shows the ones that qualify athletes for the National Championships.
- Past Competitions — results and leaderboards from prior years.
Each event card shows the date, location and host club.
Registering vs. RSVPing
Registering — paying your entry fee and taking your spot — happens on the event's own registration page. The red Register button on an event page takes you there (Circle21 for CF3 events; other hosts use their own platforms). CF3 never takes an entry fee.
RSVPing on CF3 is your heads-up that you're planning to attend. It adds the event to My RSVPs, lets the host see who's coming, and — for Technical Official and Volunteer RSVPs — counts on the leaderboard. It does not register you and takes no payment.
To RSVP:
- Sign in and open the event.
- Choose your role: Athlete, Technical Official, Coach, Volunteer or Other. The list is the same for every event. You can hold one RSVP per role on the same event.
- Confirm.
You do not need a membership to RSVP. A membership is required to compete at National Championship qualifiers, the National Championships and iF3 World events — the host checks it when you register, not CF3 when you RSVP. See Memberships & Renewals.
RSVP statuses
- Plan to Attend — you've RSVP'd and you're on the list.
- Registered — a paid Circle21 registration was matched to your profile. This happens automatically for CF3 events when the Circle21 payment carries the same email as your profile; if it doesn't, your RSVP stays at Plan to Attend even though you are entered.
- Pending — the event requires a qualification you don't hold yet, and your proof is in the review queue.
- Cancelled — you removed your RSVP, or a proof deadline passed.
- Not Attending — you told the host you can't make it.
Qualifying for the National Championships
A qualification status is earned by placing at a qualifying event and is recorded on your profile — see Qualification Status for which events qualify and who holds it. When an event requires a qualification, its page tells you whether you have it:
- Already qualified — the event page says so and your RSVP goes straight through.
- Qualified somewhere CF3 could not see — RSVP as an Athlete and attach proof of your result (a results page, an invite, a screenshot). If you don't have it in hand, choose Submit proof later and attach it within 7 days from My RSVPs. Your RSVP sits in Pending until the review is done, and you get an email either way. A deadline that passes cancels the RSVP; you can RSVP again.
If you're unsure whether you're qualified, email info@functionalfitnessfederation.ca.
Removing an RSVP
Open the RSVP from My RSVPs and remove it. This only clears it from your CF3 list — it does not withdraw you from the competition. If you've registered with the host, cancel or request a refund there, per their policy.
Roles & what they mean
- Athlete — you're competing.
- Technical Official — judging and scoring validation. RSVP as a TO so the event can be confirmed toward your level.
- Volunteer — staffing the event without judging: setup, scoring desk, athlete control, cleanup.
- Coach — you're there with your athletes.
- Other — anything else; say what in the notes.
Results
Championship results are published by CF3 from the judges' scoring record once an event has finalised, on the leaderboards and on athletes' member pages. Corrections go to info@functionalfitnessfederation.ca with the event and division.
